Sesalie has an infectious passion for the game of basketball and God has equipped her with the capability of having a positive impact in teenagers and young adult lives. All throughout her basketball career, she’s been a winner. A Houston, Texas native, she graduated from Westfield High School, winning the 5A State Championship in 2004. In 2006, she was granted a full scholarship to Coppin State University, where she and her team conquered CSU's first postseason win in the WNIT in 2007. The following season Coppin State Women’s Basketball team won the 2008 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship, making a NCAA appearance. Sesalie later graduated from Coppin State with a degree in Business in 2010. Sesalie has been actively training athletes in basketball since 2009. She obtained a head coaching job coaching the Girls Varsity team at Coppin Academy High School in 2010. She coordinated every practice, and recruited local student athletes in the Baltimore City Area, leading her team to be over .500 for the first time in years. Senior (2010) Dejhonae Cannady scored over 1,000 career points during Sesalie’s coaching stint at Coppin Academy High School; Cannady received a full scholarship to Chesapeake College in Maryland. Upon her relocation back to Houston, she began training Professional Athlete Christopher Hagan. Chris has been playing overseas since 2012, and Sesalie has been personally training him ever since. In addition, Sesalie was the Head Girls Varsity Coach at YES Prep Southwest during the 2013-2014 basketball season. She’s currently CPR/ First Aide Certified.
Sesalie prides herself in giving back to younger student-athletes what the game of basketball has given her. She believes this sport is a microcosm of life, and is a stepping stone to becoming a Future Leader.
